In this iPMI Global Executive Interview, Christopher Knight, CEO, iPMI Global, met with Lourdes Peters, CEO and Chairman at World of America.
World of America, under her leadership, introduced Private Medical Insurance (IPMI) and International Travel to Latin America and the Caribbean more than 40 years ago. WOA is a leading privately owned agency specializing in the LATAM market, with its main office in Miami. It has a presence in 24 countries with more than 2,400 advisors WOA's portfolio includes banking, industrial, mining, corporate, and individual clients in the health and financial sector, including expats and self-paid customers worldwide.
In this iPMI Global interview we discuss the international private medical insurance (IPMI) market for High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNWIs). We define HNWIs and discuss their preference for comprehensive, global coverage and concierge-style service. The HNWI iPMI market has substantial growth potential, driven by increasing global mobility and a demand for tailored, high-quality healthcare solutions beyond standard offerings. While HNWIs are generally easier to insure due to their financial capacity and focus on health, they present unique challenges related to their high service expectations and complex needs.
Christopher Knight, CEO, iPMI Global comments, "The HNWI IPMI market is a dynamic and growing segment driven by the unique needs and expectations of a globally mobile and health-conscious population. Success in this market requires providers to offer not just comprehensive coverage but also a premium, personalized, and seamless service experience that aligns with the HNWI lifestyle."
