- Written by: iPMI Global
William Russell has appointed Edd Stowe as Senior Business Development Manager, a strategic move aimed at enhancing market visibility, deepening broker engagement, and scaling its international distribution strategy.
This hire aims to bolster market visibility and deepen engagement with brokers as the company expands its international reach. Stowe brings over 13 years of experience in international private medical insurance (IPMI), having previously worked at companies like Axa and Bupa Global, making him well-suited to cultivate relationships across the UK, Europe, and Africa. His role is crucial for championing William Russell's evolving propositions and new product developments, underscoring the company's dedication to investing in commercial capabilities and fostering stronger partnerships.
Commneting on the appointment, Edd Stowe said, “I’m excited to be joining William Russell, I think there is a huge opportunity to offer something unique to clients and customers here. The IPMI, life & protection business model has changed so much in the past decade, the focus on cost containment, production and opex has caused some of the larger players in the market to out-source key services overseas. William Russell maintains that traditional model with all the service provided in-house, almost like a concierge. This business model has become a rare luxury, and I think it gives us a huge opportunity to grow our customer base, whilst keeping that personal touch.”
Teresa Wighton, Commercial Director, William Russell adds, "Edd joins us at a pivotal time for the business. As we continue to evolve our proposition and roll out new product developments, it’s essential that we have dedicated expertise ‘on the ground’ to champion our offerings and support our growing broker community. Edd’s appointment underscores William Russell’s commitment to investing in commercial capability and delivering value through closer, more strategic partnerships in the broker channel.”
